Helen's Pots

Cooking can be tricky when you’re camping. But it’s all good, because you can rely on math!

How can you get a specific quantity of water when you have nothing to measure with? It’s up to you to find out by helping Helen solve her problem!

Approach addition and subtraction in a totally different way with this puzzle. You’ll have to use logic to successfully solve Helen’s measuring problem.

  • This classic puzzle requires “step-by-step” logical reasoning. If your students aren’t used to this type of problem-solving, we recommend you have them tackle less complex puzzles, such as “Logical Job Offer” or “The Stamps” before this one. If your students are comfortable with this puzzle, then you can challenge them to “Bridge Crossing.”
