Turn over, add up and impress!
Let the participants hold onto the cards, flip them as many times as they like, and arrange them in any order. Then, by asking just one question, determine the total of the numbers they’ve chosen.
It’s a trick that’s easy to grasp on your own, but works wonderfully in a classroom setting. Ideally, a few people actively take part while the others try to figure out how it works. Flip the cards, add the numbers, and let the magic happen!

This activity requires some material preparation to enhance the experience:
- Cards with the numbers from 1 to 5 on one side and from 6 to 10 on the other
