Water Lilies
Watch out! There’s an explosion of water lilies in the pond!
Every summer day, the number of water lilies in the pond doubles. When will the pond be full? Think carefully, as this puzzle can be quite challenging.
Much like a frog diving deep, you will need to dive into the problem to successfully find the solution. This is an accessible puzzle that cleverly hides the concept of exponential growth within it — an excellent opportunity to engage students with this important mathematical idea.
