With this trick, younger children get to understand the difference between even and odd numbers. Add a tad of arithmetic, some trial and error, and they’ll be on their way to discovering the secrets behind this trick and becoming mathemagicians!
- This trick is easy to recreate and ideal for introducing the properties of numbers (parity) in multiplication. It is considered advanced for grade-3 students because it contains multiplications by 2 and 3 (it is possible to use repeated addition). The trick “Red or Yellow” follows this one nicely.
