Three-Dimensional Figures

Explore nets of solids!

Construct the mystery solid from its nets, or start from a solid and draw its nets! How good are you at visualizing?

With this fun activity, students can play with spatial representations and nets of solids to construct their understanding of these, literally!

  • The objective is to build “mystery solids” from three 2D-images representing the top, the front and the side of the solid. Give your students base 10 blocks or building blocks to help them develop spatial representation and figure out the necessary steps to solve this problem.
